The YORKSHIRE ART scene, where modern art is openly mixed with the natural environment or new museums, sees the arrival of international artists that continue a rich local tradition.

SRI KSETRA IS THE NEWEST ADDITION TO UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE LIST

SRI KSETRA is the latest addition to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list!
This was a great success for the local Archaeological team headed by the Italian mission there.
They worked for years to re-evaluate the almost forgotten site, and found a piece of Asian history that fills a long gap.
Not less important is the social environment in which Sri Ksetra is located: the modern Pyay is a true corner of that traditional Burma that is changing so fast with political opening and economic modernisation.

The book SRI KSETRA, written by the archaeological team itself, is available for free within PadPlaces, and also in Apple iBook store, Amazon Kindle and Blurb for the printed version.

The new E-book SRI KSETRA & MODERN PYAY is now available, for FREE, within PadPlaces app.
Dedicated to the archaeological research of an Italian mission in a remote, yet traditional, region of Myanmar (Burma) and the natural and cultural environment that surrounds it, is made available for free thanks to the sponsorship of GLOBAL HERITAGE FUND.
The Pyu ancient culture is scarcely known when compared to other civilizations of Southeast Asia, but the surprises of the past grandeur are many. Even more attractive is the local culture, still untouched by the sudden medernisation that Myanmar is experiencing.
